Autumn/Winter Staples!

Hey guys we are back! Sorry for being MIA for the last two weeks.
We wanted to do a post about the must-haves for autumn and winter. Starting with nail polish here are some of our favourites!!!

Up first are the blue/ purple nail polishes. The first nail polish is NYC's Expert Last Nail Polish in "Ink Stain". This a beautiful shimmery blue colour, perfect for autumn!

Next is OPI's "Russian Navy" nail polish, this is a dark purple nail polish that is essentail for autumn/ winter.

Next we have the classic reds. These are an autumn and winter essential, getting you in a festive mood.

This colour is NYC's "Chelsea". It's a shimmery red that is very wintery.

Next is Leighton Denny's "Indulgence" polish. This is a true red colour that is beautiful on the nails.

Next are the famous nudes, perfect for any season but especially Autumn. One of our favourites is Gosh's "Miss Sweetie" which is a very opaque nude.

That's it for nail polish! Now onto makeup/ beauty products!
First up is of course lipstick. The Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks, they do a brilliant colour range, from brights to darks. Our favourites are "110" which is a bright coral and "111" which is a bright red.
111- Kiss Of Life
110

Eyeliner is the next favourite, but especially brown eyeliner. It is softer than black eyeliner and looks more natural. It also goes very well with autumn eyeshadows. Our favourite is Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in "11- Sable Brown"

Moisturiser is a Autumn essential! Your skin can get very dry during the colder months, so moisturiser is perfect to help. For normal to dry skin Sinead reccomends the Simple Anti Blemish Moisturiser. For oily to combination skin Clare recommends Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Cream. For normal to combination skin Claire recommends the Simple Light Moisturiser.

Baby Lips! We have all fallen in love with this product, it makes your lips so soft and smooth. Sinead's favourite is the "Mint Fresh" version. Clare's favourite is the "Hydrate" version. Claire's favourite is the "Cherry Me" version.

Last but not least is Candles! Clare's favourite is Yankee Candles "Black Cherries". Its smells so good!

Sinead and Claire's favourites are Yankee Candles "Welcome Christmas and White Christmas" They are both so festive for the Christmas season!

And there you go. That is our Autumn/Winter Staples. Please feel free to leave us comments and feedback you know we love it!

What do you like using in the festive season? <3

Galway Funzies!

This past Sunday we decided to take a trip to the lovely city of Galway.

First off we headed into the city centre to a bit of shopping. Obviously we headed into Boots and picked up a few things.

  •    Sinead bought her second stick of Baby Lips in "mint fresh."

  • Clare purchased a Bourjois colour boost crayon in "peach on the beach"

  • Sinead  also purchased Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in number 11 "Sable Brown"

Then of course we couldn't pass Brown Thomas without going in, Clare got the They're Real Mascara by Benefit.

  • After our shopping we headed into a little vintage cafe called Cupan Tae (it means cup of tea in irish) it was so sweet and gorgeous! Sinead had a chocolate biscuit cake and a hot chocolate and Clare had a rooibos tea and a veggie breakfast sandwich. Here are some photos of Cupan Tae

    \

So after our food in Cupan Tae we decided to go to Salthill a nearby beach and town where we went swimming and had dinner later that evening in a lovely restaurant called the Galleon. Just before we left to head back home we went into the Salthill arcade! It was so much fun and we won a good few things :)

Here are some of the last photos from our trip to Galway:

Back To The Books!

Hello again!

September has rolled in again and you all know what that means....School Time! As much as you hate school in your time attending it, school is a great place to make friends and just have fun. There might be lots of homework and tests but it is worth it.
Anyway on to the subject of this post, we wanted to give you ten tips and ten beauty school must-haves that will help you in the long run! Enjoy!!

                                                      TOP TEN TIPS FOR SCHOOL:
  • BE YOURSELF: As cheesy and cliche as that sounds it is the best advice we can give you! Don't try and act like someone you're not. It will only make you unhappy and its not something we suggest to do.
  • STUDY: This may sound daunting and just plain boring but do not try to get through a test without studying! This will do you a lot of good when you are older so just because it actually involves taking out a book and looking at it, do not forget about this!
  • DONT STRESS OUT: School is a place to be calm. Do not get stressed over how you look or how well you did in the test or homework! Just relax :)
  • DONT LEAVE THINGS TO THE LAST MINUTE: We mean this! Its not something that is particularly good for your stress level.
  • HAVE A GOOD SCHEDULE: This is very important as you need to get up early and be ready for school. There is no use in going into school tired as your brain won't take anything in.
  • DONT FOLLOW THE CROWD: Just because the majority of your class are doing something doesn't mean you have to. Remember this!
  • STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE: School is all about exploring new things so try them! Don't just stay with your normal, go out there and experience things!
  • BE NICE TO EVERYONE: Why should you go into school and be nasty to people? Its not nice and you could really hurt someones feelings and ruin their day. Its a lot better if you go in and make people smile when you talk to them!
  • YOU DONT HAVE TO BE BEST FRIENDS WITH EVERYONE: Face the fact, you will not get on with everyone. There will be people that you'll clash with but thats okay! As long as you be nice and tolerate them, they wont be a problem for you.
  • HAVE FUN: If you don't have fun you don't have anything! Laugh and joke with your friends whenever you can, this will make school a lot more happier and more tolerable!
And there you go, ten top tips about school. We hope that these will help you for school. Now onto the beauty side if school. Let us make this clear, if you are not allowed wear makeup or you don't need to, then don't! Its a lot healthier to leave your skin natural but if there is something on your face that you are insecure about then cover it up. Do whats comfortable for you! So here are they are!

TOP TEN BEAUTY MUST-HAVE FOR SCHOOL:
  • LIP BALM:It is super important to keep your lips hydrated throughout the day, especially in winter as your lips can get chapped easily. Lets be honest who actually likes chapped lips? Not us anyway! Baby Lips are amazing and they have normal and tinted lip balms if you want more colour.

CONCEALER: Concealer is a great way to cover up pesky spots, blemishes and under eye circles. The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is amazing at doing both and is a school must have!

EYESHADOW: We think that using a cream eye shadow base is so handy and very subtle for a everyday school look. The Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoos are incredible at giving a natural colour, they are very creamy and pigmented and there are bright coloured ones as well as natural colours.

BODY PRODUCTS: Using a nice smelling product in your shower makes a big difference. It can benefit your skin by making it softer and smoother and it leaves you feeling fresh and ready for school. We recommend anything from Soap And Glory as their products are just in a league of their own.

MASCARA: This is an essential for making your eyes look bigger and brighter. It defines your lashes and makes them look a million bucks! The best we have tried are most Maybelline ones, especially the Falsies.

PERFUME: Every girl needs to smell nice and what better way to do it then with some sweet smelling perfume! We cant really recommend any because each persons taste in perfume is different, just pick one that smells good to you.

EYELINER: Eyeliner is a great tool to define the eyes. Its easy to get hold of and its one of those staple products that can change your whole look in just seconds. We find the best one is the Rimmel eyeliners because they are very creamy and easy to apply.

FOUNDATION: Foundation is the basic makeup product that you can get. It is also the most important. Lots of drugstore foundations are very good especially the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. It makes you look instantly awake and you get a nice even complexion.

POWDER: Powder is a great way of making makeup last. After gym it is a great way to clean up your makeup. The Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is the best drugstore powder that any of us has ever tried. Its a great buy!

LIPGLOSS: Lipgloss is a great way to add a burst of colour into your look without putting too much colour in. Its very good for school as its easy to apply and versatile. We suggest the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons and the Soap and Glory Sexy Motherpucker.
